Salt of the Earth

 By Donald Mytnik

Matthew 5:13
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. (Matthew 5:13)  Have you ever wondered what this scripture meant?  People long ago used to get their salt from the sea. They would scape the earth and scoop up the salt but if they dug down too deep and brought too much of the earth with it the salt became diluted and was good for nothing and discarded. You also must keep this in mind as not to be contaminated by this world and  loose your unique taste and valve as a Christian.
